Plumb’s is powered by an all-new and significantly improved search, which you'll find on most pages in the app or from your browser. Whether you're looking for drug information or medication guides, search is the fastest and easiest way to access content, and it's right at the top of your home screen.
You can search by the drug's generic name (eg, misoprostol) or trade name (eg, Cytotec®). If you’re unsure of the spelling, you can just type the first or last few letters (eg, miso, stal, ctyot). Plumb's will automatically suggest results once you've entered 3 or more characters.
Here’s a quick guide to search, depending on the device you’re using.
Browser on Desktop/Phone/Tablet
If you're using Plumb's on a browser, like Google Chrome or Safari, you’ll see the large search bar at the top of your home screen when you first sign in.
Start typing your query into the search field. To narrow your search, click on the drop-down that says All Content and select Drug Monographs (this will also give you results from the appendix) or Pet Owner Guides.
This search bar appears on every page of the web platform and functions the same way.
In the iOS or Android app, you'll see the search bar at the top of your home screen and on each content page (eg, Drug Monographs, Pet Owner Guides).
Simply tap in the search bar and start typing the first few letters of the drug’s generic or trade name for quick results.
Don’t see what you need immediately? Continue typing to narrow your results—no need to scroll through a long list of drug names.
Once you see the correct drug, tap on the search tile to open the monograph. Or tap on Dosages or Dosage Forms to go directly to one of those sections.
With the latest mobile app update on July 5, 2002,search results and content pages should now display more monographs and guides per screen, so you can find what you’re looking for with less scrolling. And the smart search feature in the mobile app remembers your recent views. Just tap on the search bar to see the list and get back to the information you looked at last.
